Potluck Theme: June’s Cool Healthy Salads and Fruit

Demo: Come and get inspired!! Four demo artists will be creating four different child friendly beads at different skill levels to inspire us for our new version of September’s Beads Of Courage Bead Challenge.

We will have two demo artists working at the same time. The beads created will be examples of:  Encased Dichro Bead, Character Bead, Animal Bead, Creature Bead, Monster Bead, and Object Bead.

So What’s the New Version of September’s Beads Of Courage, Bead Challenge?

As we have experienced every year, September in SoCal is usually a very hot month. People on torches in the middle of the day are practically passing out on us. To make things more comfortable for all of us, Wendy Leys, our BOC Liaison, thought it might be more productive for us to create 6 or more Child Friendly Beads at home, and bring them in on September 17th, for a BOC Celebration meeting, where she will give out BOC prizes, and we can also show the beads we made. Every member that signs up to participate in this BOC Challenge, will take home a borrowed tutorial to create 6 beads of one kind of child friendly bead.

At our BOC celebration on September 17th, we will also include our regular door prizes, and meeting agenda, which will include a Demo.

Bead Exchange Theme:  Joys of Summer

Bring in a bead to exchange with another beadmaker in a drawing. We welcome all skill levels and interpretations.
