2017 Annual Membership Renewal

$20 to become a 2017 SCFS Member!

If you are not an annual 2016 SCFS member, it will cost $10 to participate in the 2016 Holiday Bash. Cash, or Check made out to So Cal Flame Surfers.


Beads Of Courage Donations

Bring your Child Friendly Beads! Mandrel Size Preferred is 3/32 inch. Strive for clean beads with soft donut shaped ends, so the kids don’t cut themselves, and their bead strings don’t fray. See important BOC guidelines below:

No: Sharp Edges, Broken Parts, Cracks, Bead Release, Delicate Parts, or Metals on the surface of the bead (like silver or reactive glass).

Board Position Openings

Vendor Liaison: Contact vendors and request donations, be in charge of raffles, catalogue & keep a running record of club inventory.

Secretary:  Attend Board meetings and record decisions reached or pending. Provide written notes to all Board Members for approval, and send a summary to the ISGB West Regional Director.

Associate Position:

Featured Artist Author: Interview a SCFS Artist, & write up the article for our Hall of Flame, on the webpage. The goal is to write up 4 per year. This is not a Board position.




Next General Meeting: March 11, 2017, 10am – 1pm, at Pacific Art Glass.

Small Glass Treasures Exchange Theme: Springtime Renewal

ISGB Gathering/Glass Craft and Bead Expo March 29 – April 2, Las Vegas

The ISGB Gathering will be at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, retaining the same Gathering events, but sharing the best of everything with Glass Craft and Bead Expo. This is an extraordinary opportunity, and just a drive away for the So Cal Flame Surfers!

Judy Carlson:  Beginning Lampwork Class – 2 sessions. January 14th, and January 21st, Each session is from 9am-1pm. What a great way to start off the new year! Judy is one of the founding members of the So Cal Flame Surfers, was our President for 7 years, and is an accomplished and generous teacher. You’ll have fun and learn tons, even if you’ve been lampworking for a while!
