Tis the Season to be Social!

The SCFS Holiday meeting is this Saturday...December 5th at Pacific Art Glass. We are very excited this year to have an Extreme Oxygen Concentrator M15 as one of the many raffle prizes. Plus a very cool gift to every paying member, a warm & cozy winter pot luck, demos in blowing your own shards and miniature bottles and did I mentions LOTS of raffle prizes??

Charlie Warner will be our demo diva, showing us her skills on making your own custom glass shards as well as a small perfume bottle. Our bead exchange theme will be “Winter Whites” and the pot luck is warm and savory. We will be providing a couple of main dishes, so sides, snacks and sweets would be great.

Once again we will be collecting beads for Beads of Courage (BOC). Every person bringing in a minimum of 20 beads will receive 1 free raffle ticket. We also plan on giving BOC a cash donation based on a percentage of our raffle ticket sales...so be prepared to buy lots of raffle tickets!

Next month....(yes, that is next year, 2010!) the Pasadena Bead and Design show will be held on January 14th - 17th at the Pasadena Hilton. Be prepared to pay for parking along with your entry fee. Looking ahead a little more is the annual Tuscon bead shows. You can check out all of the shows with this Tuscon Guide.

CELEBRATE
the season! Be sure to bring your latest creations to show off! Our bead excahnge theme is Winter Whites. Bring a wrapped bead, with your card and receive a beautiful bead in exchange!

ENJOY
Learn how to make your own custom glass shards and miniature perfume bottle. Charlie Warner will be our demo artist. Each paying member will also receive a nice gift!
Bring your safety glasses and try blowing shards!

DONATE
As a group, we are planning on sending Beads of Courage a large cash donation. The more raffle tickets you buy, the larger the donation. So bring lots of cash for lots of raffle tickets! You could win a new oxygen concentrator or tools by Jim Moore and CattWalk, along with gift certificates, just to name a few!
