Greetings everyone!

Thanks you to all who took a moment to vote for our board. We will be introducing the the 2009 - 2011 board at the June Meeting. (it will be such a surprise :) We would like to welcome our newest board member, Shari Hagwood will be taking on the raffle chair position. Thanks Shari!!

Our second quarterly meeting will be taking place at The Mandrel in Redondo Beach on June 20th. As always we will begin the meeting at 10 am with a 1/2 hour social, then a little club biz. Our bead exchange theme is simply "SUMMER". So that leaves a lot to the imagination! Our new raffle chair person, Shari Hagwood, will be running the raffle, followed by a light lunch then it's demo time. I (Judy Carlson) will be the demo artist. And keeping with the summer theme, at least in the beach category, I will be demoing a fish bead. And since I will be using Donna's new barracuda torch, I promise this to be a BIG A** fish too! Future events include the Bead Society of San Diego County Bead Bazaar on August 2nd & 3rd. This is a really good bead show with lots of lampwork artists, all your favorite bead vendors. The show takes place at the Scottish Rite Center....easy freeway access and plenty of parking. Lots of familiar and friendly faces! Check out website for discount coupons!

We had a really good board meeting with some great new ideas for the club. We will talk about some of those at the meeting. Don't forget if you are a current ISGB member (and you should be!) you will receive a free raffle ticket. We have lots of goodies for the raffle! And don't forget to bring your beads! Everyone enjoys looking at BEADS!
