May already? Summer time is just around the corner. Of course, it's hard to tell that with all the weird weather we've been having. A few weeks ago we are experiencing record breaking high temps, then the following weekend, it is gloomy, cold and windy. I have to say I prefer the cooler temperature when I am torching since I work out of my garage, but I do LOVE summertime!

And speaking of SUMMER, that will be the theme of our bead exchange for our June meeting, which will be held at The Mandrel on June 20th. So what does summer mean to you? Let's see that in a bead!

The Art Glass Association of So Cal (agasc) will be hosting their semi-annual Art Glass Show and Sale on May 16th & 17th. I have heard this is a very nice show, it also includes ceramics and other handcrafted art pieces. The show takes place at the Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park. Wendy Leys has put together some information about getting a group together to go to the show. Options are carpooling or taking the train.
